Naval Support Activity (NAVSUPPACT) Mid-South is located in Millington, Tennessee, north of Memphis. It serves as the Navy’s Human Resources Center for Excellence. As the base has grown, so has its impact on the area. It plays an important part in the Memphis community and is one of the largest single businesses in Tennessee.
Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division contracted with the team at Chateau Energy Solutions to perform comprehensive interior lighting upgrades for the 63 buildings at Naval Support Activity Mid-South.
The contract was secured via Federal Procurement procedures administered by Memphis Light, Gas and Water. Chateau Energy Solutions’ experts completed the project on time and under budget. Additionally, the flexible installation schedule resulted in minimal inconvenience for the customer and its occupants. Throughout the entire project, Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA) and Naval lighting standards were met or exceeded.
Base-wide, approximately 15,000 existing fixtures were removed and 13,500 energy efficient lighting components were installed. This dramatically improved lighting levels throughout and saved significant energy and maintenance expenses.“

The reduced energy at Naval Support Activity Mid-South prevented large amounts of Nitrogen Oxide, Carbon Monoxide, and Sulfur Dioxide from being released into the atmosphere improving the carbon footprint of NAVSUPPACT.
